I'm not a sexy lady
so I guess I got no talent
I have pigment of the skin
guess I'm at a disadvantage
tormented by my past
I experience things and write it
guess I shouldn't complain
should be expanding my palate
I see my faults so it's hard to judge
been here longer than most
yet I still feel like a ghost
never thought I'd ever be able to write
do to some personal issues
not making excuses
we all have our struggles, but...
I wish I could find
a little more of a helping hand
wish I could find
a little less so serious
wish I could find little less nasty
feel like some people knock others down
to hold themselves up
then leave behind those that made an impact
wish I could find
a little more ride or die
where we support and care for one another
maybe that's the state of the world
maybe I expect too much of people
maybe I'm just too old
maybe it's use or be used

wonder if I am the only one
I should be writing erotica right now

It ebbs and flows here on DUP.... that's for sure.
There are times when I feel alone and then there times when I'm cradled in such enormous support and encouragement. I think people are complex and messy. It can be hard to give and be generous on a continually basis. I often have problems giving someone the benefit of the doubt; the older I get the more jaded my baggage makes me. Yet I try... and that's all I can ask of myself... and it's what I hope I can inspire in even one other...
I do love your erotica but I can't help but feel kinship and reverence when you lay it all out there. I wish I was as courageous!

Well, my hope for the human race dwindles through the years. But, this place is a great place I just wish I felt more a part of it. Then again I realize I can be shitty too. It's just lately I don't want to lessen how I feel. I have a right to feel angry and frustrated, and I do for a reason. It is really not as big a deal as my poetry might show. I mean I have a wonderful life with great friends, and I don't have a hurricane knocking at my door haha. Poetry is my love and passion, and I think after this many years I earned that place, but I don't feel as supported, and I think that is the case for many poets. Though there are people like you that do so much. Thank you for that and much more, friend 😁
