Sleeping Hollow

Lord… I have no time to kneel to the soil, or take a humble bow
I must step away from the moon for a little while on the word of disavowal
If I shall fall before my sword unto my enemies reach
May my sins be expiated before my mouth of forgiveness unto You my speech
A river of tears, I shall bring
Unto the blood I shall rejoice in my war cry as I sing
My dagger I raise to the tip kissed by the planets in the sky
Slicing throats from noon to sunrise
Forsaken all in my time to avenge
Lust, ecstasy, rapture, the soft touches found in the dark I bury as I binge

Souls living on borrowed time
Nailing your palms to a cross like a divine crime
Walking through life causing discord to self
Not worrying if consequences will be dealt

Sinners who do not know how to atone
Asking for a Queen's head, attempting to leave blood and naked bones
Unto the crown, I will stand, even if all alone
Shh... listen closely and you will hear
God and the Devil bargaining for lost souls who do you fear
The one who knows or the one who tells
Thunder and Lightning both have songs to send you, to Heaven or Hell
