Leave Before I Return (Pint Sized Poem #20)
"When are you going back to school?"
I smile, looking up.
"Next year"
She stares at me, worry in her eyes;
"The problem will still be there."
I look away, an evil gleam in my eye.
"No it won't."
She tilts her head to one side, confused.
"It won't?"
I look at her again,
"She'll be gone, and if she's not...
She'll be sorry."
I smile, looking up.
"Next year"
She stares at me, worry in her eyes;
"The problem will still be there."
I look away, an evil gleam in my eye.
"No it won't."
She tilts her head to one side, confused.
"It won't?"
I look at her again,
"She'll be gone, and if she's not...
She'll be sorry."
