A Phrygian State Of Mind
A leg extended
Seductive with passion
The black dress danced around her waist
A third double stop joined by a flat forth
Heels snapped, hands clapped
A serene night air hung
A feeling of a love never known
The crisp night air
Thoughts of her naked in his arms
Looking into his eyes as she danced
A rhythm danced
They explode
Sound of the waves as they hit the shore
A reviving exhaustion
Sound of the phrygian hung in the air
Her dance to excite and ignite his soul
Lost in the sound, the mood of the mode
Heart comforted in the warmth
Alive as a star shot across the sky
Lost in being alive

Author's Note
Working out an Intro to a new tune I am working on which is done in a Phrygian Dominant mode and for all you non musicians a Phrygian mode is done a lot in Spanish and Middle Eastern/Arabic music. Thanks for the comment H and glad you enjoyed my write. There is a charm and a feeling that one gets when playing this mode I find then any of the other 6 modes.

I actually felt the mood of your poem, my poet, it reminded me of a sultry night in New York in a jazz nightclub, eye to eye, thigh to thigh, where whispered words to the ear held alluring promises, and soft kisses to the neck caressed in the moment of time.
If a poem can evoke such imagery, then I will say you are showcasing your most enticing words upon your canvas in exquisite taste... nicely composed.

That is so great that I could make you feel the mood of this poem as when I write I try to pen words that the reader will feel something as they read. A sultry night in New York in a jazz nightclub what a great image along with the rest of your comment, love the visual.
