A prayer for a friend.
Mother earth,
Hear my plea.
Hear my prayer.
I must ask,
A favor,
For a friend.
I know not her name,
I know not her face,
Only her problems.
I can almost see,
All of the tears,
I cannot wipe.
Oh Mother,
Grant her health.
That she may be well.
Dear Mother,
Grant her hope,
That she may see tomorrow.
Send her a pure scent,
That next time she breathes,
It may bring her peace.
I have asked this of thee,
So please,
Listen to me.
Hear my plea.
Hear my prayer.
I must ask,
A favor,
For a friend.
I know not her name,
I know not her face,
Only her problems.
I can almost see,
All of the tears,
I cannot wipe.
Oh Mother,
Grant her health.
That she may be well.
Dear Mother,
Grant her hope,
That she may see tomorrow.
Send her a pure scent,
That next time she breathes,
It may bring her peace.
I have asked this of thee,
So please,
Listen to me.
