Resurrecting the dead
the ticking of the clock
took the only one to mock
this voice that will not stop
cease this ceaseless heart!
release me from this prison!
free me from this life so I may be with her in Heaven!
but waiting in agony
to reunite with tragedy
and heart locked in chain
the voice in my head
will not go to bed
a sacrifice is what I’ll need
pentagram drawn beneath the husk of my love
flickering torches casting malicious shadows
a flesh-bound tome perched left-handed
the blade, your body
severed from this man
the candle’s glow, a warm soul
for your welcoming hold
my burning heart, the pyre
to find me in this dark spire
with the rumble of thunder
the corpse-love shuttered
her eyes flickered wide as the night
she grabbed the knife
and gutted our love
devouring from the inside
took the only one to mock
this voice that will not stop
cease this ceaseless heart!
release me from this prison!
free me from this life so I may be with her in Heaven!
but waiting in agony
to reunite with tragedy
and heart locked in chain
the voice in my head
will not go to bed
a sacrifice is what I’ll need
pentagram drawn beneath the husk of my love
flickering torches casting malicious shadows
a flesh-bound tome perched left-handed
the blade, your body
severed from this man
the candle’s glow, a warm soul
for your welcoming hold
my burning heart, the pyre
to find me in this dark spire
with the rumble of thunder
the corpse-love shuttered
her eyes flickered wide as the night
she grabbed the knife
and gutted our love
devouring from the inside
