4 My Sister
My sister
my friend,
I promised to make up for lost time
not knowing yours was coming to an end.
Now you're gone
and I cant come to terms,
I can't imagine a life without you
but guess I'll have to learn.
You're gone too soon
only 33,
Everything happens for a reason
but hard as I try I just cant see.
I miss your late night drunk calls
full of laughs,
I miss sitting around the fire
talkin bout the past.
Strawberry Wine
everyone singing karaoke,
I don't know who sounded worse
maybe you but probably me.
You haunt my nights
I only dream of you,
I wonder where you are
Hopefully with Mama & Sue.
Or getting drunk with Ron
running naked down streets of gold,
Stuck in time
never growing old.
My tears wont stop
my heart is broken,
Left to wonder
with so many words left unspoken.
I wonder if God knew
just how much I'd miss her,
And if he did
would he still have taken my sister?
