Nightmares

Candy is served and ghouls persist
In their hauntings of the evening streets
And they ignore the autumnal mist
When questing for their tricks and treats
Typically composed of well wrapped sugar
Authenticated by a common brand
That you'll never see upon a booger
Or some unsanitary pre teen gland.
Oh thank God our front door bolt is dead
So that when this evening is all done
We will, within our domicile tread,
And eat surplus candy by the ton,
Grateful, that it all was so well wrapped!
Who'd want the biome that those kids have trapped?
