Twins experience it sometimes—
A connection spanning distance
Defying explanation
A strong sense that shares
Their moments of intense emotion

Again I wondered
If, perhaps, I am connected,
Tethered by the bonds of deep affection
Did the gasp & heart-spasm
That startled me this morning
Come from within
Or from a soul-bound Love afar?

Or maybe I’ve just
Lost my mind
