Trial by fire

Trial by Fire

Every wish
that pulls within
and pushes out
and takes its win

does so
with a mental thrust
that comes to be
a feeling's must.

That thought
or pictures accolade,
that goading prompt
or tempted fade,

That mantra known,
repeated soon,
releases what
was locked at noon.

And what embarrassed some away,
became a trust
both night and day.
