Is there no way to portion words
Before they blast through hasty lips
To flock just like acoustic birds
Using ear canals as landing strips?
They overwhelm my tranquil thoughts
Which take their time to float around
The byways of dendritic knots
Hoping to process much less sound
Than all too trendy techno blare
Or strident din of motor pipes
Growling like an angry bear
Or boastful Tory guttersnipes
Who measure wealth in decibels...
And not with refined neuron cells!
Before they blast through hasty lips

Using ear canals as landing strips?
They overwhelm my tranquil thoughts
Which take their time to float around
The byways of dendritic knots
Hoping to process much less sound
