Moonrise!
Fast upon her midnight heels
Comes up fair Luna in the east
With an amber that appeals
To every human's inner beast.
She is a music for the eyes;
An angel in a cratered stone
Casting a spell on starry skies
Where only lonely thoughts have flown,
Yet could not be in better care
Because of all her golden light
Blasting away unkind despair
Trying to wreck your lovely night,
Which I suspect that you deserve
If you love, like me, a gibbous curve!
