Illumination

I spent some time in a solar beam
To chase some sleep away
And analyze my latest dream
Before it went astray,
Like an echo into the sky
Or ripples into waves
Or graciousness when we deny
How badly man behaves.
And then the beam gave me some grace
Flung from a vibrant flare
Flashing through eight minutes of space
To place me in it's care...
And then I fell asleep again
While contemplating solar Zen!
