Dependants Day
Up in the mountains
On the Fourth of July
Sushi on the dashboard
And tears in my eyes
Because watching fireworks
Makes me realize
How alone I’ve become
Since you walked out of my life
I did this to us
Should’ve kept my mouth shut
Should’ve been quiet and patient
But I always care too much
And the holidays are rough
There’s no such thing as cheering up
Because so much change has taken place
Yet I’m still not quite enough
On the Fourth of July
Sushi on the dashboard
And tears in my eyes
Because watching fireworks
Makes me realize
How alone I’ve become
Since you walked out of my life
I did this to us
Should’ve kept my mouth shut
Should’ve been quiet and patient
But I always care too much
And the holidays are rough
There’s no such thing as cheering up
Because so much change has taken place
Yet I’m still not quite enough
