UNICORN CASSEROLE

I can't say that I have a clear perception of time
but on one day of deception I was drinking some wine
with a friend of mine, Mr. Phillip McPearson
who in reality wasn't actually a real person
He was an ex-con leprechaun
a fact that I never did dwell upon
He would visit from time to time on occasion
when I had whiskey and rye as persuasion
I puffed some pot and passed him the bowl in a glow
and he told me about the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow
With a sinful grin this bloke told me the joke
about the rainbow actually being a sphere in the atmosphere
the end never being anywhere near
and I was told that the gold was in the middle of this
with everyone running in circles searching for bliss
dismissing and missing the ultimate goal
of searching within to find their glistening soul
My soul grew hungry as I passed back the bowl
and I decided to make a unicorn casserole
I had some velveeta cheese and frozen peas in the freezer
a sack of magick mushrooms and a bag of dry rotini
I just lacked the tragic feature forever to free me
of a hacked-up creature who never did see me
I've got a sweet meat grinder and I know where to find her
I'd just silently sneak up behind her and violently blind her
then bind her and bend her, then once she's dismembered
I'd put the best cut of unicorn butt in a blender
and send the rest to her first of kin family member
as a kind of kindly reminder to always be remembered
With a sinner's grin Phillip passed back the bowl
as I passed him a freshly baked dinner roll
and a steaming hot bowl without any soul
of freshly baked unicorn casserole
