siren
darkness come you are bidden
fruitless hell on the altar given a spell
speak my name and utter
enchanted faith is my heart
seeking fascination in a consecrated mind
delving deeper I see my forlorn soul wander
betwixt and bedamned I am
insulted rain hail now
beat down the emotions that stutter
sleek inflection of honesty is better
I serve truth cold and bitter
in the asylum of fiction
your lies go down easy
they taste of saffron
sweet confection so easily addicting
dripping venom from a sideways smile
I cringe inside
my love costs me my pride
in me turning my feelings surround me
with a final scream I rise
I will not fall this time
fruitless hell on the altar given a spell
speak my name and utter
enchanted faith is my heart
seeking fascination in a consecrated mind
delving deeper I see my forlorn soul wander
betwixt and bedamned I am
insulted rain hail now
beat down the emotions that stutter
sleek inflection of honesty is better
I serve truth cold and bitter
in the asylum of fiction
your lies go down easy
they taste of saffron
sweet confection so easily addicting
dripping venom from a sideways smile
I cringe inside
my love costs me my pride
in me turning my feelings surround me
with a final scream I rise
I will not fall this time
