Saying What We Mean
It may be
that other people
are
so busy
filtering our expressions
that almost nothing
gets through
to them.
The way
around this
is
to communicate
with
nothing
to filter
out.
Our tone,
our gestures,
our pitch,
our facial expressions....
every affective marker
becomes a barrier
to freely
communicating.
Let me
demonstrate.
"I want
to taste
you
with my lips
wrapped
around
your
clit.
Can you
find
time
and space
in your
life
for
that?"
This will
either be heard
as an invitation
or
something
that triggers
a self-conscious
rejection.
I allow
for either;
I accept it,
regardless.
Either way,
I have let
my intentions
be known.

I opine that there's definitely a lost art of being forthright in a way that's sexy af (like the above phrased 'ask') and totally welcomed, largely because a few bad apples have spoiled it all for the rest of the bunch. So typically it's caution resulting in confusion that's seemingly the rule when it comes to trying to understand each other in this crucial aspect.
Communication should be much deeper and more important than just the initial and standard 'getting to know you' type of stuff. It should be an unshackling of your hangups and fears to get to the nitty gritty of what. you. both. desire.
Easier said than done for most, I realize.
Just my early morning thoughts....
