Silent Soldiers of the Bodies
{This is another poem created by my twin brother, Key Lyric. Most of his poetry is a bit dark but they mostly have good meaning and a great cause. Hope you can enjoy this piece.}
Soldiers of the light, warriors of the night.... travel to pursue a peace that would never be given
Blessed with strength to endure the pain and torture that they would have to deal with
Walk my brother/sister and don't look back because the war is not over/
Even when you hear the devils call at your back, don't glance over your shoulder//
And as they walk the air grows cold, frozen...stale, they march amongst the bodies with skin so white and pale/
Eerie shivers runs through the souls of the mortals that remain witness to tell, of the bodies that lay so dead and frail//
They await hell, for this would be a relief from the pain and depression that haunts their minds/
They carry the lifeless bodies stacked on their backs, no one gets left behind//
The wind shrieks as it blows, creeps as it grows stronger and stronger as nature takes her wrath/
They cover theirs eyes to block the sands that darkens their tragic path//
An end cannot be seen as they shuffle through endless bodies which once carried life/
As they march through the night, carrying the very one's that protected and stood next to them through the fight//
Each one walk with thoughts of daughters, mothers, fathers...sons/
Each one walks with the hopes that their next day and night will come//
One by one they fall to a crawl as they slither like snakes, Never to see their loved one's again/
The last soldier falls, stares at his clinched hand so full of sand, he lays his head upon the earth and dies a lonely man//
