You Know What's Funny
The longer this drags on Kiddo
You and I are going to have one helluva fireside chat
The silence broken by that warm familiar crackling of slow burning logs
I imagine your unfamiliar face
A face last our eyes met
you had yet to turn four
I picture those blue eyes silently reflecting
Father in absentia
As a tiny smile radiates more warmth than any dying sun ever could
Those silent nanosecond moments speak louder than a brass band
Here we are kiddo
Tears and cannabis
it's how daddy does therapy
Silently in the breeze
Catch those tears kiddo
return them to the soil
