Home Town Elegy
The ruined places of my heart’s adorning self,
The garages and job centres and shops
Where England’s whore-ish self has come
To flaunt and shift its bustle in the streets,
Once housed my own body, and almost homed my heart.
The garages and job centres and shops
Where England’s whore-ish self has come
To flaunt and shift its bustle in the streets,
Once housed my own body, and almost homed my heart.
