Again?
Is there a language with more words
To describe this feeling?
Because none of the synonyms fit
You’re not misplaced or lost
Well, maybe some… but not really
Absent? Far from it!
You’re present in my thoughts
More than there are hours in the day!
Have you escaped, evaded or eluded me?
Perhaps…yet, I don’t think that was your intention
Perhaps “I miss you”
Is not strong enough a sentiment
To truly speak my feelings
I desire you
I long for you
I seek you
I want you
All these, and more
Because
you are not here with me
Are you lost to me?
I must believe you’re not
Because I more than MISS you
I NEED you
I LOVE you
though you’ve been gone so long.
So, yes, I miss you
