The Poet's Ink

First you take your broken heart
and cut it in half
bleed it out
then start to smash

Make it thin like paper
and then burn it into ash
Mix what's left with the blood
and there is the ink batch

Now grab a piece of paper
and let the ink form words
To form a poem of sorts
that expresses your hurt

Let your pain fall
and let tears form stanzas
to make the your pain
in the poem readable
