I Had A Funeral For My Dreams Today

I had a funeral for my dreams today
I hated to see them die
I brought flowers to throw in the grave
I couldn’t do anything all day but cry
 
It’s hard to say good bye
And everyone has to grieve
It was a shock, they went so fast  
I thought they would never leave
 
Now I face a future without them
And I don’t know what I’ll do
They were the best part of me
Without them, I might be through
 
What’s a life without hope
What’s a life without dreams
It’s a life filled with emptiness
It’s a life filled with screams
 
I had a funeral for my dreams today
And I know what I must do
There is no living without your dreams
So I will have a funeral for me, too
