Snow Moon
There's ice on the moon, astronomers say,
In some multi billion year old shade;
A shadow free from any solar ray
With nary a photon with which to trade
A Terran twilight or cloud filtered glow
To soften the look of a crater's rim
Or reflect the shooting star pit below
By lumens even hauntingly dim.
So therein lay a primordial snow
Unable to cheer Tellurion nights
Or provide some kind of a glacial flow
Where it might freshen Olympic delights!
But such a Snow Moon would be far too bright
And snow blind gods...a gross oversight!
