Quiescence
That midnight blend of cloud, fog, and sky
Is selective about the stars we see
And campfire smoke underscores why
With embers in starlit harmony
When the smoke with the sky begins to blend
As the flames release their solar rage
In the heat of their last entropic spend
To try and push past that final page;
That page where the universe story...stops,
And mankind has been a long time dead,
After the planet through a black hole drops,
Forever muting whatever crap we said.
Maybe then the silence will be golden...
A concept...to which I am beholden!
Is selective about the stars we see
And campfire smoke underscores why
With embers in starlit harmony
When the smoke with the sky begins to blend
As the flames release their solar rage
In the heat of their last entropic spend
To try and push past that final page;
That page where the universe story...stops,
And mankind has been a long time dead,
After the planet through a black hole drops,
Forever muting whatever crap we said.
Maybe then the silence will be golden...
A concept...to which I am beholden!
