ShadowMan
Devour her and heal your pain
Grow strong and she will light your way
Keep the gifts she’s given you
Her will was free
But not meant for you.
His fear began to overtake
A thief of light, he watched her break
When she began to waste away,
his eyes turned black, she could not stay.
So she prayed.
She prayed the Gods to let her go
Her ailing body,
Her dampened soul
She grew so angry when they said no
She cursed them all.
The anger grew inside her heart
The only light inside her dark.
She stoked the flames
She swallowed ash
And then awoke, home at last.
The long journey home is always the hardest
But even in the dark, we find a way
Grow strong and she will light your way
Keep the gifts she’s given you
Her will was free
But not meant for you.
His fear began to overtake
A thief of light, he watched her break
When she began to waste away,
his eyes turned black, she could not stay.
So she prayed.
She prayed the Gods to let her go
Her ailing body,
Her dampened soul
She grew so angry when they said no
She cursed them all.
The anger grew inside her heart
The only light inside her dark.
She stoked the flames
She swallowed ash
And then awoke, home at last.
The long journey home is always the hardest
But even in the dark, we find a way
