Photon Fairies Dancing

slipping through the atmosphere
bouncing off the sea
light is shining everywhere
on you and too on me

coming from so far away
through the space between
coronal excitation
and this planet where we dream -

light keeps shining when we sleep
when we close our eyes
unconscious we discover
another light surprise

skipping all around us
in front and too behind
photon fairies dancing
slipping out of time -

sunshine, moonlight, starlight
LEDs and more
firelight, iridescent
plankton near the shore

light is elemental
dashing with a flare
illuminating darkness
here and everywhere...
