any man who needs
a love that’s enforced
with indiscriminate murder
he who relies
on breaking flesh like bread
cannot be truly strong
but is as mindless

as mudslides and earthquakes,

Amen to that, too. I've always wondered how they got away with dehumanisation and how they had families when people become numbers and the rest is a game to feed ego. Thoughtful little piece

Thank you for your thoughtful commentary, InNomine. You raise a very interesting point about family, how a lot of dictators (and gangsters, and other people who trade largely in violence) manage to psychologically separate their own interpersonal connections from their work destroying other people's.
