Shifts in Perspective
growing ever disillusioned, hence
this unnatural precarious precision,
our pin-pointed voices mattering
to no one save a handful close by;
the supernatural stamping
with tendency of falling toward
my already fractured heart;
splinters to shards to whole,
help me capture this
impossible moment fleeting,
as you know they all are;
learn to embrace one another
without pretended desire
only acting in earnest empathy
until we leave this place for the next
