Sky Blues

It grows out near the willows
thriving in the half-lit shadows
not bending to expectation
nor caring to be seen

happy in it's own contentment
a lonesome sort of being
entranced in the beauty surrounding
amid a richness others do sing

the moon takes hold the sadness
when darkness seeks her prey
waiting for the dawn of daybreak
and the all too wanted sun

she shines not only for him
but for others too
clearing a cloud filled vision
from an endless sky of blues
