Contagious Shades of Gray.
I lived a life of color,
in a cheerful, merry daze.
Peace, innocence, and calm
were mine 'til I looked your way.
You just went through the motions,
and I watched it everyday.
Coming into your life, bittersweet,
to cover up your shades of gray.
We shared color and it worked,
until one morn, to my dismay,
I realized you'd robbed me of my lights,
only leaving shades of gray.
You lived a life of color,
in a simple, drug-induced haze.
Beauty, love, and melody...
All were yours 'til you looked her way.
in a cheerful, merry daze.
Peace, innocence, and calm
were mine 'til I looked your way.
You just went through the motions,
and I watched it everyday.
Coming into your life, bittersweet,
to cover up your shades of gray.
We shared color and it worked,
until one morn, to my dismay,
I realized you'd robbed me of my lights,
only leaving shades of gray.
You lived a life of color,
in a simple, drug-induced haze.
Beauty, love, and melody...
All were yours 'til you looked her way.
