Maddened Angels
Otherworldly evil angels.
Because we fly on
singed wings, under
gray clouds
like sheets above us.
The rain can't wash us clean.
Can't put out the fire that
that once
consumed our maddened souls.
Now dancing at our feet.
We try to flee but it follows,
never bothering to hide away.
And we accept it.
Look into each other's eyes and
see the still-burning embers.
The coal in our soul
flaring.
We love each other
in our own twisted ways.
We're all mad here.
Because we fly on
singed wings, under
gray clouds
like sheets above us.
The rain can't wash us clean.
Can't put out the fire that
that once
consumed our maddened souls.
Now dancing at our feet.
We try to flee but it follows,
never bothering to hide away.
And we accept it.
Look into each other's eyes and
see the still-burning embers.
The coal in our soul
flaring.
We love each other
in our own twisted ways.
We're all mad here.
