The Land Wants Us Back Too
One day I'll sit by the water and let the moss grow on me
And let the earth critters creep and crawl all over me and
I will be home
And I will let the mushrooms spread and grow from within me
And I will watch the clouds and rain and water pass by
And I will finally sit and be still
I will be home
I will slowly sink back into the soil,
Healing all life around me
Returning to mother
I will be home
And flowers will grow from my eyes,
And people hiking past will look and smile and admire them
I will be the trees and the soil and the rocks and the deer and the flowers and the water and the fish and the decay and the grass and the moss
And I will finally be home
And let the earth critters creep and crawl all over me and
I will be home
And I will let the mushrooms spread and grow from within me
And I will watch the clouds and rain and water pass by
And I will finally sit and be still
I will be home
I will slowly sink back into the soil,
Healing all life around me
Returning to mother
I will be home
And flowers will grow from my eyes,
And people hiking past will look and smile and admire them
I will be the trees and the soil and the rocks and the deer and the flowers and the water and the fish and the decay and the grass and the moss
And I will finally be home
