My Two Favorite Tastes
My Two Favorite Tastes
I do have
two favorite things
that taste
so divine
to me.
I love
to drive
the six hours
to San Antonio
just to pick up
whole wheat
pumpkin butter
filled
empanadas,
warm them
in the oven
with melted butter, powdered sugar,
and crushed
cinnamon sticks,
sticky fingered
with hot coffee
and French vanilla
creamer.
And you.
