A artist should write art but....

I've been traveling in
 
The deserts of my mind  
           I try desperately  
                         To run through the sand  
How         frustrating and
sooooooooo degrading         the  time
       we're wasting
 
huh (chuckles)  
  i remember waking up  
plastered and                            stumbling  
         A full night of gin,  
pale sweat and .....     seduction
 
lit a match           burned the whole place  
         to the fucking ground
 
In a ghost town paid symphony remember...........
 
                    the saying goes
 
An artist
         should create beautiful things
                                "but  
should put nothing
             of their own life into them"
