just a wish
I dream to find a genie
To grant me just one wish,
Not for some Lamborghini
Or a finely cooked up dish,
I’ll ask of him to turn me
In some sort of a bird,
So I can fly the city
To peek upon your world,
Maybe I’ll desire
To turn you in a tree,
So I could fly a higher
to nest in your safe-ty,
a branch will be your shoulder
to whistle time away,
and when the air gets colder
hold me safe in your array.
To grant me just one wish,
Not for some Lamborghini
Or a finely cooked up dish,
I’ll ask of him to turn me
In some sort of a bird,
So I can fly the city
To peek upon your world,
Maybe I’ll desire
To turn you in a tree,
So I could fly a higher
to nest in your safe-ty,
a branch will be your shoulder
to whistle time away,
and when the air gets colder
hold me safe in your array.
