A walk I took among rambling ivy and heathers,
to catch a glimpse of the swollen moon.
I witnessed her giving birth to phantoms, shadows sisters;
daring to tell her my loneliness, heart never knowing love,
body absent of experiencing any cardinal ecstasy.
My one love took another, with a sardonic expression upon
an otherwise innocent face, in front of me.
For it seemed to be the season of ice for me;
Heart caught in a maelstrom of icy crystals,
inevitably, entered paralyzing sorrow.
No, No!
A walk I took meandering around, I recall feeling restless;
till I reached a decrepit cemetery I’ve never seen before,
atop of a strange hill.
Yew trees guarded sleeping souls; lying next to their beloved,
or strangers.
Dewdrops from a Fae’s wand glistened upon enchanter’s nightshade;
entangled within the thorns from briar roses.
I sat upon an ancient moss covered, stone bench.
Pungent earth, dampness surrounded me, inquisitive owls
stared at me.
My heart cried its lament, to forever be alone, my heart will
never find its love’s home.
“No, No!”
I drifted off into fantasy, feeling a sense of serenity whilst my
lips turned into a smile. Dreaming…Dreaming…
To know such love, to have such love;
never again experience heartache.
No cold loss of abandonment, bitterness in one’s bones
of betrayal.
Oh to wish for a love so immortal;
this was not the first time I’ve imagined, even pleaded
To the Heavens for that…Or rather…HIM.
A sound disrupted this pleasing reverie;
through a thicket of woods, out in the distance.
I heard the eerie howling of a wolf, reminiscent of
A Night Spirit’s wail…I froze.
I went to get up and flee, though I apparently couldn’t,
Since my limbs abandoned me.
Abruptly, I was entangled in chilling silver mists…
(So cold, down to my bones.)
The misty fogs rolled in, becoming thick, heavy, enveloping me.
I spun around in dizzying circles, terrified.
Unexpectedly, a hand reached out and grabbed mine.
I cried out in sudden fright!
Pools of sapphire flames burned into me;
Seemingly piercing into my soul.
I stared up at this figure, in and stared at this figure
in disbelief. I felt devoid of any capability of speech;
for my tongue seemed as though it was glued
upon the roof of my mouth.
His face was the colour of starlight, which seemed to light
up against the otherwise darkened sky.
His hair was long, with a slight wave, thick…
The colour of inky midnight. Full lips, a dark pink, yet not
quite red.
He was tall, lean, yet slightly muscular build.
It was he who broke the curious silence.
“I am here, you’re no longer alone. You’ve summoned me
And I beckoned to your heart’s song.”
This unfamiliar, intoxicating figure proclaimed in a soothing,
yet sinister voice; which had the slightest accent,
an accent my intrigued ears never heard before.
I finally overcame my surprise, my shock while my voice
Found itself again. I forced myself to stare into those
Eyes of his as I demanded, though in a low hoarse voice…
“Who are you, an apparition?!” I exclaimed.
His lips curled up in a seductive, yet sincere smile;
before he answered my question, whilst staring
at my face, without blinking.
“No, My Love, I’m your Dream Lover. The one
who will fill your heart with eternal contentment and
give your virginal body immortal pleasure.”
His hand then reached down towards my face.
For I was just barely able to reach his chest.
His finger, felt like velvet as it drew a comma
along my jawline to my slightly parted lips;
before he continued stating…
“you’ve dream’t
me into your…This world;
together our hearts, souls will forever merge into one.”
I was then only able to comprehend that I have
become quite mad.
Then blackness…
All that was left was the sweet stillness of cloaked
winged…Blackness.
