A Person of Persons
My friends terrify me,
With their words-
Praise to draw me in,
Whispers to bring me down-
Boosts of bravado,
A high in people-
Lost to but a comment,
That only spoke ideas.
It's these peers of mine,
That decide my brain.
I'm wholly me,
If only with them,
But I'm not wholly me,
A person built on views.
How I act- speak- see,
Do- don't- is-
It's these people I know,
Who terrify me the most.
Without our know how,
A single little word,
How affective that can be.
With their words-
Praise to draw me in,
Whispers to bring me down-
Boosts of bravado,
A high in people-
Lost to but a comment,
That only spoke ideas.
It's these peers of mine,
That decide my brain.
I'm wholly me,
If only with them,
But I'm not wholly me,
A person built on views.
How I act- speak- see,
Do- don't- is-
It's these people I know,
Who terrify me the most.
Without our know how,
A single little word,
How affective that can be.
