The season of the soul
Looking
For a snow angel
Angel of
Snow
In radial angles
Of radiance
Angled radiant
On this snow white page
Feathered in
Letters
Inspired into existence
In the persistence
Of
Thoughts
Of
You
Like pathways
In fresh
Snow
Persevered through
Like the
Fear
Of all the ice here
In this
Ice sphere
Ionospherre
Of
Ice
Chrysalis where
Snow angels
Are crystalized
In the mind’s eye
Of the soul’s
Sky.

(A friend asked me to write a poem about snow angels… I kind of like where it went. I was thinking of how our soul’s surface during this “season of the soul” (LDF Term), and with such surfacing, our deepest sincerities may be revealed… Our snow angels.)

Dear CO,
There is a purity on every level of this poem, for me. The first and foremost, that you wrote this from a friends request. Angels, snow, winter…it reminds me of heaven. Empyrean protection right here on earth. I really enjoyed the beauty of this poem.
I love making snow angels, brings out the playful side even if I can’t get up after getting down into the snow. The joy of just being…for those few quick moments. Really lovely write. H🌷

Initially, it seemed like it would be
challenging to write about snow angels...
I mean...
I was never exactly one to make them...
Although...
I remember I once ran out in the snow
with someone. (no coats or anything)
And we just sort of hugged and frolicked in the snow.
It was such a pure moment.
(to me that was of a similar nature to making snow angels.)
but I do love the snow.
Sometimes it can be difficult to
I suppose return to the innocence... To the purity.
Although I feel poetry is a pure state of being.
I am very glad that you liked
and found things in it that were cool to you.
I sent it to my friend... Who did not think
I would write it.
They asked:
Did you write that?
(Thats the second time they've asked such a thing.
I think it is a compliment of sorts, perhaps.)
I dont really tell people I write,
or really even tell people much about myself at all.
They know I write based on this one thing.
