At first I thought I knew what poetry was about,
"Convey your thoughts and express your feelings.
Thread lightly, hear out a critic"
This was what I calmly told myself,
Just mix metaphors with fictional truths
Hold back a little, connect with your readers mind,
Choose wisely, write something Miscellanoeus..
Self poems should be easy and a Story's easier still..
Upbeat poems? I shall write that too
Or I could take the bull by the horn and write something Dark..
'Observational' it is! I have the spark..
I might as well write a poem on Anger I hate..
I'm not in over my head, I'll choose Spirits over Love...
Perhaps it is better to write without giving a thought,
I could decide to write something only I could understand
Like "sghshny" dear me! That is funny!
And when I'm lost for words..I'll scrabble at it..
Because when all is said and done, it will still be my poem.
Am I right? or
Am I right?
..Yet I know,
I might suck at poetry...!
