"Monstrous Inhumanity"

The facts throughout History, ain't always what they seem/
Now I'm having visions of tyrants, and brutal regimes
Alexander the Great, and Ivan the Terrible/
Vlad the Impaler, and Oliver Cromwell
The Roman Emperor Nero, and England's King John/
Ivar the Boneless, and the infamous Ghengis Kahn
The use of instruments of torture, that were commonly used/
For forgery and treason, and even parricide's doom
From the claw to the jaw breaker, the hook and the tongue tearer/
The head crusher and the cage, and the castrator for the genitalia
The clubbings and stoning, and casting out to exposure/
The hanging and beheading, at the orders of the inquisitor
Who got to decide your fate, whether you man, boy or girl/
From association with gypsies, or poisoning of a well
I hear the voices from this hell, but all too much to digest/
Cause I can hear ripping and tearing, and the digging into flesh.
