'Nother Night Alone

Lay me down in the heather bed.
A final resting place for my head.
The weeping willow sways in the breeze.
A wave goodbye as I take my leave.

I've gone too soon, I've gone away.
I won't be back some other day.
This is the last I'll see of you.
They say the righteous always lose.

'Nother night alone.
But I am going home.
Don't need my own headstone.
'Nother night…

I'm not the one for you to love.
Cause I'm no good, I'm not enough.
You'll find someone better than me.
So bury me six feet deep.

Beneath a tree, or in the field.
Just make sure the coffin's sealed.
The wicked rest, but not the dead.
Hope someone strong is in my stead.

'Nother night alone.
But I am going home.
Don't need my own headstone.
'Nother night…
Dead!

Another night alone.
Another night out on my own.
Wandering, cold as stone.
This fucking pain in my bones.

Another night all alone.
Don't want to see what I've become.
Won't find me where the light is shone.
You'll see just how my body's grown.

'Nother night alone.
But I am going home.
Don't need my own headstone.

'Nother night alone.
But I am going home.
Don't need my own headstone.
'Nother night…

Alone!
