He And I
Misty morning,
The cold gets warm inside me and slips away
The sunlight flashes through like a sparrow
The lake miscounts the stones in it
The buildings vie for more fog
Misty city,
He reaches his hand out with a smile
I reach mine out with a rush
Hands clasp in ultimate confusion
Rhetoric questions greet with familiar courtesy
Misty journey,
I won't be offended by him
He won't be disappointed by me
The cold gets warm inside me and slips away
The sunlight flashes through like a sparrow
The lake miscounts the stones in it
The buildings vie for more fog
Misty city,
He reaches his hand out with a smile
I reach mine out with a rush
Hands clasp in ultimate confusion
Rhetoric questions greet with familiar courtesy
Misty journey,
I won't be offended by him
He won't be disappointed by me
