A curse

I've always struggled to belong
Seen myself as a curse
Felt like I was entrapped in darkness
With no light to begin my search

I feel alone even with others
Lost within my mind
No road for me to take
No hope for me to find

Its hard to believe in yourself
When all you see are your mistakes
Afraid to take a chance
And when you do, the path it breaks

A neverending nightmare
Of all your pain and your regret
Your own worst moments
Replayed on the TV set

Fighting for a home
But all you have is a thought
Sometimes to make you panic
As you try to beat the clock

I'm afraid ill be long gone
With no one who will care
Maybe one picture on the wall
But no one says a prayer
