dirty lessons
in egg and grease,
smeary like baby oil,
slippery as crab with a "k"
underdressed meats,
mystique mister,
out of place at mosque.
lemon tang zests the
water paddy fields,
pluck and swim to harvest,
floaties and waders

There’s a sharpness to this little piece that I just found quite endearing. On the surface it’s about food, but fairly confident that it goes deeper in terms of metaphor.
It’s an interesting read and it made me want to read it more than once which I’m taking as a little moment of win.
