The More You Take

If I had been loved
Which I was
I might have been
A different person

If I was born free
More than you or me
The condition I'm in
Might not have Worsened

Yet, alas,

Time stretched out so fast
The years
Cut down like blades of grass
And I always seem to wonder
If only I had asked
Would this burden be mine for me to look past?

Set in Stone
Or Iron Cast
Made of bones
That blew away like ash
