                             to the blind

       “Therefore speak I to them in parables: because they seeing see not;
and hearing they hear not, neither do they understand.”—Matthew 13:13 KJV

home is where the heart is,
       but I've never really had one;
           heart is where the love is,
                  but I've always had a sad one.

       love is where the light is,
           but I've never tasted true love;
                  light is where real life is,
                      but stark darkness is my alcove.

           life is where the world turns,
                  but death's turns have left me reeling;
                      world without a purpose
                          to the blind, its depths concealing.
