Imaginary friend
Once you were real
Faded
Then gone
Been told I have a great imagination
And right now I feel like playing pretend
(i don’t feel like missing you)
So welcome to my life,
My dear imaginary friend!
We have a heart-load of shit to share
It’s been so long!
You start first:
Tell me of your travels!
Many have entered your life…
And losses too…
How is your family?
What warms your heart?
What makes it ache?
Then I’ll tell you of mine.
That’s the thing about imaginary friendships though…
I still don’t know of you
Regardless, I’ll try to make it work
For (imaginary) friendships sake
