The End Again
The end begins again
Between the pause
Of musical notes
That drop from the air
An orchestra’s pain
Too heavy to hold
By the violin strings
We held hands to
Until we could not
You are gone
And became a prayer
That starts and ends day
Wishing eternal rest
But in the end
Tomorrow begins again

Dear V,
Strangely for me, I appreciate how your poem allowed me to feel the heaviness of loss for someone or something (like love). It felt like I was wearing cement shoes and hoping I wouldn’t wake up in the morning, but I did and now I must trudge through the day. Sorrowful yet excellent expression of feeling alone. H🌷
