living is not for the shallow ...
her soul is old as time
when you can look beyond
the physicality of her being
see the open tears in her heart
entrails pulled to the
breaking point
stretched beyond
comprehension
when you can safely ask
how are you still alive
whole?
with all honesty
wanting the know
then maybe
just maybe
we can move on
to deeper understanding
only one has been
brave enough to
venture into
those dark caverns
sometimes
we have to be careful
what we ask for
it changes everything
